DEPOSITS.

Deposits are asked of a potential client to lock in a specific date that has been offered or to lock in a design that has been available to book.

Whilst there are quite a few conditions under this title, I do want to let clients know that honesty is always the best policy. If you do need to reschedule for a legitimate reason (emergency, important obligation etc), please let me know as far in advance as possible as this will allow me to help to the best of my abilities within my calendar and also within the terms written on this page.

Once offered an appointment date via email correspondance there is 24/48hrs to send the deposit AND the receipt through, otherwise your date may be given to another client.

I cannot hold a date/or design without a deposit (and receipt) or extend this period of time to send a deposit through.

Deposit refund.

A deposit refund is usually unlikely, I say this as I make it very clear in the form and emails that are initially filled out with a tattoo enquiry that deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another date.

If you cancel your appointment it is an automatic forfeit of your deposit,
this is non-negotiable.

lockdown postponements.

Yes. Unfortunately lockdown has screwed up many … many plans.
Your tattoo appointment might have been one of them. Never fear - your tattoo is still… near..
maybe not near, but it’s not completely cancelled. It’s merely post-poned. I still would love to tattoo you and am happy to find an alternative date that works best. Be mindful that I only book in 2-3 month intervals so cannot offer dates too far in advance. Give me as much info as you can, I cannot keep up with who is in lockdown and who isn’t, so just let me know!

A deposit refund is unfortunately not viable in this case.

i have to reschedule!

Okay, so this is where it can get sticky.
You see, I cannot always offer a new date to you.

This is why we place and organise the deposit for a specific date that works for both of us when we first begin to chat about your tattoo. Things come up, I get it, I’m a human too - however really think about if you have to reschedule.

I’m unable to give the benefit of the doubt for every situation or able to understand financial obligations that arise when we have this appointment usually booked so far in advance. From a business point of view, it should be a super hard no to transferring the deposit, as there is a lot that go into a reschedule and the loss of income for me.

However keep me in the loop, if you ask for a reschedule within four weeks of your booking - you may forfeit your initial deposit and be asked for a secondary new deposit to take it’s place due to everything that comes with a reschedule for me on my end. Another term is that if you ask to reschedule within two weeks, you may forfeit the entirety of your deposit or lose a partial amount of the deposit.

Unfortunately if I do have a lot of clients asking for a reschedule at the same time, I cannot offer a reschedule of your booking without a new deposit and you will forfeit the original deposit, as it is not financially viable for me as a person or as from a business perspective.

If there is an emergency, as I said in the second paragraph on this page - honesty will get you further!

have to isolate?

DO NOT COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT if you need to isolate due to covid!
Pleaseeeee - I assume this is widely a piece of common sense as it’s required under all covid guidelines. But yeah, don’t come!

Notify me as soon as you have been told to isolate, we will need to reschedule your appointment and a negative covid test result may be asked pending on when your new date is given for your tattoo.

A partial deposit may be lost pending on how late I have been notified of a booking change.
This amount is usually minimum 50% of the initial deposit amount.

under 18?

Unfortunately I won’t tattoo you, BUT you can book in from your 18th birthday onwards.
Proof of age and ID is always requested at the studio for a tattooing procedure.

safety.

I take pride in being a very open person to talk to and I always hope that my clients feel comfortable in my company. Trust is a massive part of being tattooed, not only with the design but also that tattooing is skin contact. No client will be asked to remove clothing that exposes a body part that is not needed to be accessed to complete the tattoo.

If at any moment you or I do not feel safe in the appointment - we both reserve the right to terminate the session.
